Walk five minutes in any direction from Carnaby Street, and you’ll pass at least three places selling a burger. Most of them are fine. Some of them are fast. Very few of them are cooked to order by someone who actually cares whether the patty holds together or the bun goes soft by the time it reaches you.
That’s the landscape Paradiso Soho sits in. We’re a burger and cocktail restaurant in Kingly Court, just off Carnaby Street, and we built the place because we thought Soho deserved a burger worth sitting down for.
The idea behind Paradiso
Our mission is short enough to fit on a menu insert: serve the best burgers and cocktails in the court, and make every visit feel worth the trip.
That’s it. No mission statement padded out with buzzwords, no promise to “disrupt” the burger scene. Just a bar and kitchen trying to get two things right at the same time: the food and the drink, instead of treating one as a sideline to the other.
If you’re coming for a Tuesday margarita and a Cheeseburger, or a Saturday steak and a Negroni, both should be right.
Handmade, halal, cooked to order
Every burger on our menu is halal, every day. Every single one.
Our patties are hand-formed. Our sauces are made in-house. Buns are toasted brioche, and nothing goes on the grill until you’ve ordered it.
A few from the menu, if you’re new here:
- The Cheeseburger: smoked cheddar, house burger sauce, baby gem, pickles. The one most people start with.
- The Truffle Burger: charcoal brioche, truffle mushroom sauce, crispy shallots. The one that brings them back.
- The Temper Smash Burger: smoked raclette, green sauce, pickled onions and chillies. Our answer to anyone asking where to find the best smashburger in Soho.
- The Hot Shot Burger: fermented chilli hot mayo that builds slowly across the first few bites rather than hitting you all at once.
- The Vegan Mountain Burger: a mushroom-based patty and vegan cheese that our team built to not feel like a compromise.
Beyond the burgers, there’s a 28-day dry-aged British steak, hand-battered fish and chips made fresh rather than pulled from a freezer. Fries are cut in-house daily. It’s a proper kitchen doing proper volume.
A cocktail bar that isn’t an afterthought
If margaritas are your thing, there are five ways to have one: Momma’s Margarita, Lychilli, Piña, Salty Caramel, and Old Tom. If you’re bringing a group, the £75 Teremana Tower pours a full litre, and the £100 Gin Tree stacks twelve Beefeater serves with your choice of mixer.
Monday to Thursday, 4 pm to 8 pm, happy hour runs six cocktails at 2-for-£18, with the full food menu available throughout; no booking required.
And for the weekend crowd: bottomless brunch runs Saturday and Sunday, midday to 4 pm, in 90-minute sittings from your first drink. Classic is £45pp, Premium £60pp, both with a large plate or two small plates included. It’s strictly 18+, Challenge 25 applies, and there’s no deposit; you’re only charged if you don’t show. Groups of ten or more should call ahead, and we can seat up to 22 at a single table.
Two floors, one courtyard
The building itself does some of the work. Downstairs is the main bar, with booth seating that looks straight out into the Kingly Court courtyard, glassed and covered, so it works whatever the weather’s doing. Upstairs is the kitchen and more dining space, where things get louder and the lighting drops as the evening goes on.
By day it’s relaxed enough for a working lunch or a solo burger and a coffee.
Finding us is straightforward: Kingly Court, Kingly Street, Soho, W1B 5PW, with entrances off Carnaby Street, Beak Street, and Kingly Street itself. It’s a 3-minute walk from Oxford Circus station, 7 from Tottenham Court Road, and 8 from Piccadilly Circus, a couple of minutes past Liberty London if you’re coming from Regent Street.
Book a table
If you’ve read this far, you already know what we’re about: halal every day, made from scratch, and a drinks list that gets as much attention as the kitchen.
Walk-ins are always welcome, but for dinner, weekends, or bottomless brunch, we’d book ahead. Take a look at our full menus and book a table directly. We’re open Monday to Thursday 12 pm – 11 pm, Friday and Saturday until midnight, and Sunday 12 pm – 9 pm.
